Excursion To Putrajaya

It was a nice warm saturday. Everyone was excited. How can they not be? 110+ people were gathered, dressed in their group colours and rearing to go. a convey 27 cars long going from kencana to Putrajaya. People started pouring into church from as early as 1 pm. As we worshipped, more people arrived. we started the journey close to 3 pm. The journey there itself was an adventure. Some made it early, some not so early and some (I really feel bad on your behalf) were late. but nonetheless, it was a great day. We arrived there (some of us) approximately at 4 pm. And we didn't waste anytime in getting the fun on. We had frisbee throwing, football, people just laying on the grass, picnics, families spending time with kids, people taking pictures, and some who are just catching up, taking a rest and chatting.

Not too long later when everyone else arrived, we got ready to move on the a new location (near the very very very big) roundabout to enjoy some petran amazing-race-like game but were stopped by authorities. Being good Christians we didn't raise an issue and just quietly went over to the roundabout but not to play games. We went over to have our lunch!!(it was close to 5+) And so we did lunch, and we Group peter had a feast. Not only did we have our lunches (yummy chicken rice), we had 3 ice boxes full of goodies. WOW!!! Cold water, carbonated drinks, ice- pongs!!! (Thank you Esther). We also had a truck full of snacks courtesy of Zun Hong and Mr. and Mrs. Kelvin Tang. (I personally liked the prawn crackers). We totally enjoyed ourselves and were stuffed to the brim with food. What an amazing day. Group Peter memang the food group

Shortly after, when we were done with the food, we started taking pictures (actually have already started but now nothing to do, so looked like only taking pictures). and you can see below how much fun we had. haha. I know I did. half way through however it started raining. so we looked for shelter and made our way down to the food court where half of the church were already there. So we proceeded to lepaked a while more waiting for the rain to let up. After the rain subsided a little, we made our way to our designated cars and off we were back to church. What a fantastic day.

But wait!!! Being group Peter, the day has not ended. No. far be it to let such a wonderful day end so quick. And since we are the food group, we arranged dinner. Hahaha. A bunch of us Peterians (almost more than half) met up at Gobi to have dinner. We ate and laughed and talked and fellowshipped (I really love spending time with you guys lah!!!). then we officially ended the day at 10:30 pm after dinner and sent everyone home. I hope you guys enjoyed as much as I did. So guys, enjoy the pictures and hope to see you guys soon.

Leader Retreat

The Human Foosball

The hall was full of eager fans. Each team sends out their players. You can feel the excitement in the air. As the music blasted in the background, the groups battle on to outwit, outsmart and out challenge each other in an Original Petra Conceived game, "The Human Foosball".
Amidst the cheers, the goals, the saves, the fun, the sweat the tears and laughter, a fellowship was born. One of strking together, defending together, holding each other up. Yes, a fellowship that can only come by going through it together. So, as I would like to now congratulate you (Peterians) on a job well done (for winning 1st Place!!! Yay!!!), let us not forget more importantly the friendship that was forged, the hands we held, the lives we touched, and most importantly, the fellowship that we have shared.
Peterians remember the call "So that others may live". Well done guys. I am proud of you ..
